The Bookshelf

I love to read. I always have.  I’m always searching for good books.  I love a good story.

My favorite authors include: Maya Angelou, Jodi Picoult, Anita Shreve, Jacquelyn Mitchard, Sandra Dallas, John Sandford, Audrey Niffenegger, Khaled Hosseini

I used to love these authors, but I have not been impressed with their last several books:  Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson…

Currently Reading:

Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time by Greg Mortenson

Barefoot by Elin Hildebrand

Empire Falls by Richard Russo

Light on Snow by Anita Shreve
(Great book—-I love Anita Shreve.   Didn’t end the way I wanted it to, but that’s what makes her such a great writer!)
The Shack by William P. Young
(very intriguing story… makes you think about your faith and your beliefs)
Rush Home Road by Lori Lansens
(great book with fascinating characters!)
What’s Your Red Rubber Ball?! by Kevin Carroll
I’m loving this so much, I am teaching from this book right now, and my 8th graders are now searching for their “Red Rubber Ball.”  Seriously – very cool book!
