Toddler=Teenager?

I’m really beginning to see the a couple of correlations between life at home with Punky and life at school with my 8th grade students.
Scenario #1
This morning (as I walked into his room…):
Me (cheerfully): “Good Morning!”
Punky (in a gravelly pterodactyl-like voice): “GO AWAY!”
Scenario #2
This morning: after we got dressed and packed up for the day…
Me: “Let’s go, buddy….We have to get to Kelly’s…”
Punky: “You no tell me what to do!”
I guess he is really lucky that he is cute. Man, how I love the terrible twos!

I watch Live with Regis and Kelly on occasion. Kelly Ripa was once talking about the “terrible twos and the god-awful threes.”
I have believed this for ages! Toddler boys=teenaged girls. I saw it every.single.day when I taught flute lessons. I’d deal with my cherubs all morning and afternoon, then toddle off to deal with the same emotional crap from a hormonal girl. One of my few reasons why I no longer teach lessons.
Oh how familiar that sounds! I was just told both those things this last week !!!!
Ya gotta love’em!
