Tendrils - Me! I grew up outside of Chicago, IL but now reside outside of Minneapolis, MN. (No, I don't like the cold! and GO BEARS and CUBBIES!) I've been called many names in my life.... many of them derivatives of my given name. My son calls me Momma. My husband calls me Honey. My students call me Teacher. My family calls me lots of things...... ;) However, here, you may call me Tendrils.

Hubby - My loving husband of 5 years.

Punky - Our 3 year old son who is growing like a weed!

And so it begins…again

We had a follow-up ear check today for Punky’s ears…..he stopped his antibiotic a week ago…and his ears are still not healthy.  :(    So, round 2…of a different antibiotic.  Let’s just cross our fingers and hope to high heaven that this round works!   Last year at this time, we kicked off a string of 5 different ear infection visits from January – April!  Ugh!   Pleas enot again!

We got a strawberry flavored medicine…(the bottle is upstairs and I am too lazy…   my butt won’t get up to go get it so you can all know the name of it!)  It actually tastes really good, but PUnky threw a fit!

“No medicine!”

“Me no like.”

“Yucky! “

So, I made yet another shake and hid it in there!   This time I hid a piece of chocolate in the bottom of the shake…so he had to drink it all up to get to his  chocolate heart!   it worked…

Nineteen more doses to go!  :D

  1. I’m sorry to hear that Punky still has an ear infection. Hopefully this round of antibiotics will take care of it. Putting the chocolate in the bottom of the shake is a neat idea!

Most kids I know don’t like taking medicine. My kid is a bit strange…he asks for more medicine :-)

  2. Mommytoj- Mine used to ask for medicine until this last round when medicine became evil due to the yucky taste!!! Ugh.

  3. I’m sorry he’s having trouble with his ears – that is no fun!!

  4. My kids love medicine. And having tasted it I can see why. Most of the children’s medicine in the UK is laced with so much sugar it’s like drinking honey.

Boy are they in for a shock when they get older.

It is so good that they regulary fake illness of one sort or another. I could do with finding someone to make a placebo strawberry sugar liquid, for when I just want a quiet night.
