Festive Sweet Potato Combo

My sister-in-law brought these to Easter dinner!  They are FABULOUS!   Enjoy!

1 1/3 cups French’s French Fried Onions
1 large apple sliced into wedges
2 cans (8 0z) crushed pineapple, undrained
3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar

Preheat oven to 375. Grease 2 quart shallow baking dish. Layer sweet potatoes, 2/3 cup french onions and half of the apple wedges in
prepared dish.

Stir together pineapple with liquid, sugar and cinnamon in medium

  1. Those onion things are what keeps me away from green bean casserole. No thanks!

Not the healthiest side dish, by any stretch of the imagination, but it went over pretty well.

Those tomatoes look yummy. I like the pics you chose. I think blogs are much nicer to view when they have pretty pics. :)

    Have a nice weekend.

  7. What are French fried onions? Are they soft? Crispy? How would you re-create that if you cooked the onions yourself?
